Where it began

Sexy Monk started the way most good things do: quietly, on a rainy afternoon, with a cat on my lap and a battered notebook in my hands. I'd been journaling for years by then. It had carried me through heartbreak, burnout, big moves and a few full-moon breakdowns I'd rather not talk about.

But every journal I bought felt either too serious or too twee. Nothing looked like the way journaling actually felt to me: sacred, a bit messy, and secretly a lot of fun.

What we believe

I believe you can meditate at sunrise and dance until 3am. You can be soft and wild, spiritual and a little bit unholy. You don't have to choose one version of yourself to be taken seriously.

Journaling is where all of those versions get to sit at the same table. No rules, no perfect handwriting, no right way to do it. Just you, being honest with yourself, one page at a time.

Our mission

Our mission is simple: to make journaling feel sacred, sexy and completely yours. Every journal we sell is chosen by hand, made to be carried around, written in, spilled on and loved hard. Not kept on a shelf for best.
